Pain Management Treatment Options Near You

As a patient of ISSI, you will meet with our expert staff and team of doctors to tailor a treatment plan for your specific needs. Below are a few of our pain managements treatment options.

Epidural Injections

Epidural injections alleviate pain associated with inflamed spinal nerves. Using a small needle, medicine is injected into the epidural space in the spine. Epidural injections at Integrated Spine Institute relieve pain so you can regain range of motion and resume daily activities.

Facet Block

Facet joints are the joints in the spine that make it possible for you to twist, turn, and bend. When one of these joints becomes irritated or damaged, it can be result in pain and discomfort. Facet blocks are small injections, administered with the use of a local anesthetic, that ease discomfort from facet joint pain.

Lumbar Sympathetic Block

A lumbar sympathetic block helps relieve lower back pain by targeting the sympathetic nerves that are located on both sides of your spine, which help control involuntary functions of the body and trigger responses within blood vessels. A lumbar sympathetic block works by blocking these nerves from transmitting pain signals to the brain.

Nerve Root Block

When spinal nerves are squeezed or inflamed, it can result in pain and numbness in the parts of your body that are connected to those specific nerves. A nerve root block reduces or eliminates pain by injecting local anesthetic at the exact location of these nerves.

Radiofrequency Ablation

Radiofrequency ablation—also known as neurotomy—provides relief from chronic back or joint pain by using heat to reduce or eliminate the transmission of pain signals to the brain from an irritated or inflamed nerve.

Sacroiliac Joint Injections

The sacroiliac (SI) joint connects the spine to the hips and is responsible for easing the burden of the shift between upper body and legs as you move. Sacroiliac joint injections help to reduce swelling around the affected joint and nearby nerves.

Trigger Point Injections

Muscles can form knots called trigger points that result in pain, tension, and even spasms. Tigger point injections can help alleviate the pain associated with this condition by using an anesthetic mixture to relax the trigger point.

brunette woman

I am very pleased with the service of Doctor Katzman and his colleagues for a wonderful experience. I had been suffering for numerous years from my tailbone and sciatica pain which included numerous infections and visits for pain management medication which had no long lasting effect. My pain management also included numerous epidurals that would help for a very short time. I had come to a dead-end. I always continued looking for a permanent solution to my back pain. Finding the orthopedic laser surgery group and Dr. Katzman was the answer to my prayer. From first contact they were very courteous, concerned and helpful. The staff was very professional and I was taken care of with professionalism and concern. Everything was explained to me before and after my procedure and what to expect, so I was put very much at ease.
